Each day brings the same Chroma and Spectra puzzles for everyone. Play free in your browser; an optional account saves streaks and lets you compare with friends.

Why the tools exist

Most simple online tools come wrapped in the same friction: sluggish pages, sign-up walls, file uploads to servers you don't control, and ads stacked three deep before you can find the button. Benchtop is the opposite of that. Every tool is built to be:

• Fast. Pages load instantly and tools respond immediately.
• Private. The tools run entirely in your browser. Whatever you type, paste, or upload stays on your device — it isn't sent to a server, stored, or seen by us.
• Free and frictionless. No installs, no gimmicks. Open a tool and use it. Games accounts are optional.

What's here

Daily color puzzles sit alongside developer utilities like a JSON formatter, JWT decoder, hash generator, regex tester, cron parser, UUID generator, and Base64/URL encoders — plus everyday calculators for tips, mortgages, sales tax, and more. New games and tools are added regularly.

Who's behind it

Benchtop is an independent project built and maintained by a developer who kept reaching for these kinds of tools and puzzles and wanted a single, well-made place to keep them — one that respects your time and your data. It's a small, focused effort, not a big company.
