When does the daily Scale reset?

A new puzzle rolls over at 8:00 PM America/New_York (Eastern), tracking EST/EDT automatically. Everyone worldwide plays the same puzzle for a given day index.

Par is the smallest number of weighings that can always identify the fake tile and whether it's heavy or light for today's count. Sharp play can finish under par on some days.

Can I declare an answer early?

No. The puzzle solves itself when your weighings leave only one possibility. There is no guess-and-lose — only efficiency.

Does practice mode affect my streak?

No. Practice uses a random seed and never updates daily stats or streaks. Share is disabled in practice because there is no shared day number.

Is the puzzle stored on a server?

Puzzles are generated deterministically from the date in your browser. An optional account can sync your daily score and streak; the secret answer isn't uploaded.
